Teaching, not selling, and the difference that makes
A training program only stays useful if the people running it have no financial stake in which answer a participant reaches. That single boundary shapes almost every other decision described below.
The independence policy
No commissions, no brand partnerships
The program does not accept referral fees from installers, does not sell panels, inverters, or batteries, and has no partnership agreements with equipment manufacturers. Session materials use generic diagrams and anonymized sample quotes rather than any single brand's marketing material.
This means the program cannot install anything for you. If you finish a session and want to move forward, you will still need to contact installers directly and go through your own evaluation process, ideally using what was covered in the sessions to do it more confidently.
Teaching philosophy
A few principles the curriculum is built around
Build understanding in layers
Each module assumes only what the previous one covered, so someone with no technical background can follow the full sequence without getting lost partway through.
Use real, local conditions
Examples reference Romanian rooftops, seasonal sunlight patterns, and typical residential wiring, rather than generic international textbook diagrams.
Leave room for your specific case
Every session includes open time for participants to bring their own roof photos, electricity bills, or quotes and ask how the material applies to their situation.
Present trade-offs, not verdicts
Where a genuine trade-off exists, between panel types, financing structures, or monitoring options, the material presents the trade-off rather than a single recommended choice.
Who leads the sessions
Backgrounds in energy education, not sales
Sessions are led by people with backgrounds in renewable energy education, building performance assessment, and adult education design. None of the instructors are employed by or compensated by installation companies or equipment manufacturers.
Instructors update the curriculum periodically as panel technology, inverter standards, and typical installation practices evolve, but the underlying structure of the eight modules has stayed consistent since the program moved from informal sessions into its current format.
